out of hibernation and back for the new year.

welcome 2019. while last year really sucked for me, here’s hoping this year will be better. finally went out to take some photos since the Alaskan Way Viaduct is closing for good this weekend. i ended up hitting the Pier 66 Rooftop Park at sunset then moved back to the Pike Place Marketfront location above the viaduct. finally, i went through Post Alley on the way home. oddly, it was through Post Alley that inspired the shot i liked the most from the set.

the fourth and sixth were shot using the Fujifilm XF 56mm ƒ/1.2R lens, letting me shoot the latter at ISO1600 despite the darkness. while it may look quiet, Post Alley was still busy with tourists admiring the gum wall and delivery trucks making their way thru. because of this i limited my time there but the cold that night definitely had a big influence. another time, i’ll return and take a few more shots using the 56mm ƒ/1.2
