Finally Getting to Those Lens Reviews

It took a fair bit longer than I’d implied but I’ve finally started on those lens reviews. If you’re new here, my reviews are really laid back and non-technical. I tend to focus more on the impact they’ll make on your photography and whether they’re worth your investment. For those outside the Fujifilm system, they’re a sampling of what you can expect from the brand.

There are tons of others out there who have the time and equipment to give you MTF charts, side-by-side comparisons, etc. I don’t get paid to do all that and it’s really not in my interest to do so. I want to be helpful; photography is not about graphs and white papers. Nobody really should care about stuff like that and should be more focused on whether a piece of gear will help further their creative endeavor. That’s just my opinion, of course, but that’s what drives my reviews.

Out now are reviews on the Fujinon GF 100-200mm ƒ/5.6 and 23mm ƒ/4. Coming in a bit is the 110mm ƒ/2. That one is taking a little longer since I have a little more to say about it, especially since I’m into landscapes, astro and fine art and not so much portraiture.

Thanks for your patience and for checking out my site! Hopefully something I have to say eventually proves valuable.
