Found this as I was going through my junk drawer and tossing out what's now trash or recyclable. It's an ElementCase Vapor Dock for iPhone 4 and 4S, like new and still with the original box. Seeing as how virtually no one in the first world still uses an iPhone equipped with a dock connector, into the recycling bin it goes. That's a solid hunk of aluminum right here, with various bits of stainless steel thrown in. A lovely bit of machining, now pretty much junk.
The iPhone X is evolutionary, but not how you think
All things considered, build, assembly, materials, the iPhone X feels more like an evolution of the iPhone 4 design language than its immediate predecessors.
Apple Watch has a “killer app,” but tech bloggers just don’t get it
so far, bloggers and self-aggrandizing industry "experts" have unanimously proclaimed the Apple Watch to lack a killer app... the imaginary tool or function that makes it a "must have" gadget. sorry folks, but it's not coming. ever. at least not a single, universal capability that sends everyone out to wait in line on launch day. ... (nearly) a year with Apple Watch
it's been nearly a year since I received my preordered Apple Watch and here's what I've observed. I've worn it almost daily, which I haven't done since I was in the military as use of a wrist watch became superfluous with the ubiquitous cellphone. it's even gotten me interested in wristwatches as I've caught myself... DRO Concepts is now ShiftCases
Some may be familiar with my previous experience with DRO Concepts. Their cases were absolute crap that damaged my device and despite accepting my returned case, still haven't refunded my money and refuse to take my calls or emails. if you've ever been victimized by them, i truly feel for you and all can empathize.... Exclusive devices are only good for carriers. Retailers, customers always lose
Nokia's VP of Smartphones, Jo Harlow recently proved how little she understands how the retail market works from a retail and customer perspective in a recent interview with All Things D. She attempts to defend her decision to release Nokia's latest flagship device, the Lumia 1020, as an AT&T exclusive by claiming that carriers are... Continue Reading →
apple and google aren’t competitors.
Nilay Patel just posted an editorial on The Verge, titled, "Apple's Bravado Clouds The Company's Real Challenges" and seems to base his thoughts on a foundation that is incorrect. He goes astray by making the assumption that Apple and Google are competitors, taking this to the incorrect conclusion that Apple is still failing due to their inability... Continue Reading →
