finally went out to take some photos since the Alaskan Way Viaduct is closing for good this weekend. i ended up hitting the Pier 66 Rooftop Park at sunset then moved back to the Pike Place Marketfront location above the viaduct. finally, i went through Post Alley on the way home. oddly, it was through Post Alley that inspired the shot i liked the most from the set.
The weather today was gray. At least there was enough texture and movement to create an interesting photo, so I went to Myrtle Edwards Park to get some water shots. Light trail photos from Pike Place MarketFront in Seattle. The ability to shoot this photo will soon disappear as the Alaskan Way Viaduct will be replaced with a tunnel in 2018, then torn down in 2019, eliminating most traffic light trails in this scene. I wanted to catch this defining Seattle scene before it ceases to exist.
